  1. According to the article" Rebranding America" and the speaker is BONO. He Published: October 17, 2009.this demostrate the way that Obama achieve the America dream. weel as a opinion i believe that Bono has a good point of view of the President Obama, acording to this quote"remind the world that America is not just a country but an idea, a great idea about opportunity for all and responsibility to your fellow man"
The point of view for the America dream is that everyone has the opportunity in America to become succesful person and makes their dream to become true. accroding to all this. the subject is The President Obama. So the argument that Bono is making is that Obama's words are really strongs and important in the American dream. so i totally agree that Obama will promise a global plan.

  2. On October 9,2009 president Obama was nominated as the winner of the NObel Peae Prize. Many people started saying that he didn't deserve it, others felt that he deserved it for his efforts of trying to maintain peace around the world. Now two weeks later this musician named Bono, a member of the U2 band is talking an arguing that President Obama deserves the Novel Peace Prize. In the article, "Rebreading America" published on October 17, 2009 he says,"But for me, these 36 words are why I believe Mr. Obama could well be a force for peace and prosperity." He also quoted what Barack Obama said in a speech,“We will support the Millennium Development Goals, and approach next year’s summit with a global plan to make them a reality. And we will set our sights on the eradication of extreme poverty in our time.” It seems that he supports Barck Obama and also the idea of him been the winner.
In terms of the "American Dream" he not only wish that Barack Obama would make a "CHANGE" In America but also all over the world.

  3. In base to the article “Rebranding America” by the New York Times’ columnist Bono, America is the nation in which the inhabitants around the world consider that it can solve the three main problems in the entire globe as poverty, ideology and climate. When the president Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize as be one of the mainly influential person the world, started a controversy about if him really be worthy of it, as the result that a side of the community been against Mr. Obama and the other hold up him for his achievement as a human and professional.
When Mr. Obama expressed his speech he told about that he would do everything to fight against nuclear disarmament in each country as Asian part and Europe, atmosphere adjusts. He enforces everyone to support his action and beliefs to get again an influential country. That why he said “But for me, these 36 words are why I believe Mr. Obama could well be a force for peace and prosperity — if the words signal action.” So USA’s population believes again that Mr. Obama and his administration can transform again this country where the citizens find opportunities, as the Americans called “American Dream”. The president Obama contagious the entire world to find solution to solve the problems presented in the nations, and don’t begin anther war. “But the idea of America, from the very start, was supposed to be contagious enough to sweep up and enthrall the world.” So today America is the place where the inhabitants desire live as the result that they be sure that he they can accomplish their dreams. Well in my opinion America doesn’t really offer “America Dream” because you require make an effort for what you wish, the government don’t provide you wealth or effortless occupation in your hands.

  4. In the article, "Rebranding America" famous singer and speaker of the article is Deirdre O' Callaghan. He believes that President Obama is doing a great job in helping America any way that he can. He states in the article, "All right... I dont speak for the rest of the world. Sometimes I think I do- but as my bandmates will quickly (and loudly) point out, I don't even speak for one small group of four musicians. But I will venture to say that in the farthest corners of the globe, the president's words are more than a pop song people want to hear on the radio. they are lifelongs." This meaning that in the speech that Obama gave he believes that Obama has and will keep trying to develop this country into what it used to be, a great country. The subject of the article is the plans that Obama has and what he's been doing to acheive them. Obama has "put together a team of people who believe in this equation, Stability= seccurity + development. That includes the general himself, now at the National Security Council, the vice president, a former chairman of the Senate Foreign Committee; the Republican defense secretary....is still holding amid rancor on pretty much everything else." Many people are saying that the world is coming to an end because all of the events that are happeneing. "America might just hold the keys to sovling the three greatest threats we face on this planet: extreme poverty, extreme ideology and extreme climate change." With all this said one already knows that Deirdre believes that Obama actually is going to help America from the three biggest threats because he has started to helpe many around the world and will continue to do so.

In the article, "Rebranding America" famous singer the speaker of the article is Deirdre O' Callaghan.the subject of this article is Obama plans and what he has been doing to acheive them. the agruement that the speaker is making is that obama is changing the face of America and is doing what he set out to do. "Many have spoken about the need for a rebranding of America. Rebrand, restart, reboot" the Author belives Obama is doing this and will change America "In my view these 36 words, alongside the administration’s approach to fighting nuclear proliferation and climate change, improving relations in the Middle East and, by the way, creating jobs and providing health care at home, are rebranding in action" Obama is reminding "the world that America is not just a country but an idea, a great idea about opportunity for all and responsibility to your fellow man" making the American dream come true for many.

  6. This is the first time I hear a singer writting an article about The President and the United States. Deirdre O'Callaghan member of the Irish rockband U2 makes alot sence in his writting when he describes and believes Obama is the new man for properity to moving America forward. He also points out the controversial nobel peace prize nomeny for barack Obama but at the same time he thinks Obama is the man for this prize and he knew contreversy was going to be held after this surprising annnouncement. The he repeats the America is still a positve presence in this world and may have just taken a long time for many to realize this.

  7. The article “Rebranding America” is an OP-ED for the New York Times guest columnist.
The speaker is Bono the lead singer of the Irish rock band U2. His argument is that President Obama deserves the Noble prize award. Bono calls out the actions he has taken so far, “...Approach to fighting nuclear proliferation and climate change, improving relations in the Middle East … creating jobs and providing health care at home..” As a result of this new starts the rock singer believes that the President of the United States has earned the Noble because he is attempting to built prosperity and stability. Bono explains that President’s Obama new actions determine the America Dream to be “a great idea about opportunity for all and responsibility to your fellow man.” He also argues that is due to the success of the president and administration that people from around the world seek to conquer the American Dream. “The world sees that America might just hold the keys to solving the three greatest threats… extreme poverty, extreme ideology and extreme climate change.......” Bono states that every other foreign person believes that in America stability, security and development are found.

  8. The OP-ED "Rebranding America" by Bono, the lead singer of the band U2 and the co-founder of the advocacy group ONE and Product RED brings up the "American Dream" and how President Obama "could well be a force for peace and prosperity." America has always been known as the land where people can prosper, but lately the country has had its downfalls in the economy. President Obama is the hope we have to help fix this issue and Bono believes he can do it. We are trying to "rebrand, restart, reboot" America to what it once was, a DREAM. The President stated in one of his speeches, “We will support the Millennium Development Goals, and approach next year’s summit with a global plan to make them a reality. And we will set our sights on the eradication of extreme poverty in our time.” In these 36 words Bono has faith in. "America is not just a country but an idea, a great idea about opportunity for all and responsibility to your fellow man."

  9. In the article "Rebranding America" by U2 lead singer Bono, states in the first paragraph that President Obama "won't be the first sitting president to recieve the peace prize but he might be the most controversial." However, Bono makes the argument that President Obama deserves the noble peace prize. He says "...I believe Mr. Obama could be a well force for peace and prosperity-if the words signal action." He talks about how many people have talked about the need for a rebranding America. Bono says that Obama's 36 words at a speech he made at the United Nations last month are why he agrees that Obama should have won the peace prize. He says, "These new steps-and those 36 words-remind the world that America is not just a country but an idea about opportunity for all and responsibility to your fellow man." This nation has known as a nation where can have prosperity but we are recently in a recession. Obama is who we have at the moment that can help the U.S recover from our recession and Bono argues that Mr. Obama has the ability to make things better for America.

  10. In this article, Bono, the lead vocalist of U2, IS the speaker. He is making the arguement that Obama actually is the same Obama that makes motivational speeches. In simplistic terms, Obama really plans to back up what he says. Probably the cornerstone arguement that made this article by Bono was, "So here’s why I think the virtual Obama is the real Obama, and why I think the man might deserve the hype. It starts with a quotation from a speech he gave at the United Nations last month:We will support the Millennium Development Goals, and approach next year’s summit with a global plan to make them a reality. And we will set our sights on the eradication of extreme poverty in our time. They’re not my words, they’re your president’s." He believes Obama is true to his word, and that people still underestimate because they did not hear this statement he made, and through the statement he made about Obama teaming up with elected officials and foreign officers and ambassadors to revolutionize not only America's poor, but the world's as well.

  11. In the article"Rebranding America" by Bono, is on article that show all the effort that our president Obama made to obtain all the he is now and how he believe on the American dream, and how he bring this dream to other people in the American. because he want to make a great change and also think that nothing is inpossible in the life and said "that he considered the peace prize a call to action. And in the fight against extreme poverty, it’s action, not intentions, that counts. Also said,"The world wants to believe in America again because the world needs to believe in America again. We need your ideas — your idea — at a time when the rest of the world is running out of them." He trying to convence to America people that ever be union and that a country union make the difference.

  12. The argument from this article phrasing America is form, because of its believe which is the "America Dream",and of its idea; the opportunities it have, the hope it gave, and the freedom it provide, the speaker bono had refer himself as all people in world, explain why people admire America. Barack Obama is set for new idea of America Dream, he is metaphor everything is posible if you try, the phrase "The world wants to believe in America again because the world needs to believe in America again. We need your ideas — your idea — at a time when the rest of the world is running out of them." had emphasis Obama as example of the new idea.

  13. The speaker in article “Rebranding America” is the infamous lead singer of U2 and a partner of “ONE”AIDS Concerts to raise money for AIDS research, Bono. He writes about America coming back on led for the world with the help of President Obama. Bono argues that America was a nation made to be leader and it takes diminishing poverty, global warming, and having high-quality beliefs. As the singer writes, “What the president promised was a “global plan,” not an American plan. The same is true on all the other issues that the Nobel committee cited, from nuclear disarmament to climate change — none of these things will yield to unilateral approaches. They’ll take international cooperation and American leadership.” We must come up top from the hole we have gotten into and regain our goal of prosperity and hope. America needs to have the ability regain strength to fight the global problems. Bono also says, “The world wants to believe in America again because the world needs to believe in America again. We need your ideas — your idea — at a time when the rest of the world is running out of them.”

  14. In the argument "Rebranding America by “New York Time”, the Author is believe Obama is good president, because he think the Obama do a lot thing is not for self, it is for American and for this county, “These new steps — and those 36 words — remind the world that America is not just a country but an idea, a great idea about opportunity for all and responsibility to your fellow man.” He believe Rebranding America’s way would change America future, the President Obama use own way to change it, whatever decision he made all people would support it, because he is own president and leader.

  15. The speaker in this argument is the well known golden globe winner Bono. In his op-ed he talks about what are some images and ideas outsiders have about our president Barack Obama. Bono based his argument about Obama being hope and prosperity in the country with a quote said by Obama in a speech.“We will support the Millennium Development Goals, and approach next year’s summit with a global plan to make them a reality. And we will set our sights on the eradication of extreme poverty in our time” Obama says. This leads Bono to think and restate "But for me, these 36 words are why I believe Mr. Obama could well be a force for peace and prosperity — if the words signal action." This article is for all the American people to have faith and to not give up hope just yet, because according to Bono President Obama still have a lot to offer. The idea he has for the country is a great idea, its beliefs are great beliefs and everyone has been looking forward to re branding America.

  16. Bono, the lead singer of the band U2 and a co-founder of the advocacy group ONE and (Product)RED, believes that America will be far better off in the hands of President Obama. After reciting a quote from Obama’s speech at the United Nations, he continues to say, “But for me, these 36 words are why I believe Mr. Obama could well be a force for peace and prosperity — if the words signal action.” He’s saying that Obama is a key of inspiration; however, others need to take the initiative to make a change as well. Bono goes on to explain that with renewed leadership and a change in priority, the US will be able to conjure better approaches to world issues. “…the world sees that America might just hold the keys to solving the three greatest threats we face on this planet: extreme poverty, extreme ideology and extreme climate change. The world senses that America, with renewed global support, might be better placed to defeat this axis of extremism with a new model of foreign policy.”

  17. The speker in this article is Bono, the subject is about president Obame and if he is changing the country. The argument that Bono is making about Obama is that he is going to fix the US crisis. One piece of evidence that support Bono's opinion is "I will venture to say that in the farthest corners of the globe, the president’s words are more than a pop song people want to hear on the radio. They are lifelines." Bono believes in Obamas words even thought many people don't.Bono also says that, "Mr. Obama has put together a team of people who believe in this equation." He thinks that Obama is going to put everyone together and there will be peace in the world. Bono sees Obama as an idol and he supports him and his ideas.

  18. In the article “rebranding America” the main topic is Obama wining the noble peace prize and the speaker is a member of an Irish rock band U2. His argument is that Obama does deserve the noble peace prize because as he was mention to be the winner a lot of people where against it and they started to talk about how Obama had not achieved anything since he has been in office. I believe that Obama does deserve this important prize because he has done more than other presidents in a short amount of time. People nominated him as a peacemaker because he is one. “The world sees that America might just hold the keys to solving the three greatest threats we face on this planet: extreme poverty, extreme ideology and extreme climate change…renewed global support, might be better placed to defeat this axis of extremism with new model of foreign policy.” People believe that Obama hold them keys so that this country can revive again.
Every person that migrates to this country has in mind that so called the “American dream” its going to be pursuit in this country because it’s a free land and it gives other people more preparation and it “Remind the world that America is not just a country but an idea, a great idea about opportunity for all and responsibility to your fellow man.”

  19. Many all around the world thought Obama didn’t deserve the Noble Peace Prize. The lead singer of U2 and a Golden Globe winner Bono argues in his article
“Rebranding America” how Obama did deserve the Noble Peace Prize. Bono says this because Obama in one of his speech said he was to work and support the millennium goals. Bono said “What the president promised was a “global plan,” not an American plan” this is true. Obama not only was he thinking about making America a better place but also help the world a better place. The article also states “In the same week that Mr. Obama won the Nobel, the United States was ranked as the most admired country in the world, leapfrogging from seventh to the top of the Nation Brands Index survey”. I believe that if we are the “most admire country” America has to work up to this and make America really admirable. Some people who admire this country come here from other countries illegal thinking that this is the place they’re going to make all their dreams come true when they can’t get a job here because they aren’t legal and they stop admiring this country because some get treated unfairly and aren’t equal to the others. People think that America is the place where everything is easy and everyone is equal but its not you have to work really hard to reach what you want and get treated diffrently from people that won't like you.

  20. The subject of this article is America. The speaker is Bono. He’s trying to make the argument that Obama deserves the Nobel peace prize and that all they hype he is receiving is well deserved. He really is making a change in America. “So here’s why I think the virtual Obama is the real Obama, and why I think the man might deserve the hype. It starts with a quotation from a speech he gave at the United Nations last month,” says Bono. He’s saying that other countries expect the best from America and that Obama represents that .He’s trying to change things like the Millennium Development goals which are commitments made nine years ago whose goals are to cut extreme poverty in halve by 2015. America has all the tools needed to fix three main problems. “America might just hold the keys to solving the three greatest threats we face on this planet: extreme poverty, extreme ideology and extreme climate change.” Other people still see America says as a place to have the “American Dream.”

  21. Bono is just one person, but when one person makes since about the topic at hand then many agree with him. While talking about what place4 we Americans and the country we live in work as one and the place we sit, we difinitely have to take into consideration the opinion of others Bono looks at many events and words by the US and the people within it. Talking about Obama is talking about us a nation. Obama and us together "could well be a force for peace and prosperity- if our words singal action" We are a country of action and the ones who take respponsibility in our actions. "Ranked the most admired country in the world", America can have that much affect with our actions being made. Right now looking at our team were working with " you couldn't dream up a better dream team" to pursue peace in this way, to rebrand America. So, things should tell you as long as Amrica has a plan, the right team and idea, its not a small task, but will be the best country to relay on. Because of the main subject Obama and his action so far, we are the country to be known for helping others while also improving our action.

  24. The speaker of this article is the singer Bono. His writing was published in the new york times. His main purpose is to recognize president Obama as well as show proof that he has been working hard and is attempting to keep the promises he made throughout his campaign as well as continue the American Dream. In addition, It also serves to highlight is international efforts. The author's audience is to those individuals in which support and reject President Obama. The topic of this op-ed is president Obama is making steps in the right path towards world peace. Mr Bono says, "They’re not my words, they’re your president’s. If they’re not familiar, it’s because they didn’t make many headlines. But for me, these 36 words are why I believe Mr. Obama could well be a force for peace and prosperity — if the words signal action." This quote agrees and furthers my argument.

  25. In the article “Rebranding America” the speaker, Bono the lead singer of the band U2 wrote about President Obama and his role in improving the world in trying to rid it of poverty. The reason for Bono writing an opinion editorial such as this one is that nine days prior to the release of this editorial, President Obama was acknowledged with the Noble Peace Prize in diplomacy and to state the significance Obama has in the roles of other countries. Bono states that even though Obama isn’t the first president in the house who’s received such a prize but he is perhaps the “most controversial.” The reason why Bono believes that Obama is the most controversial is because a lot of people are trying to figure out whether Obama deserves such an accolade. Even though Bono believes that many people dislike Obama because it seems as if he hasn’t done much. In his argument as to why Bono appreciates Obama and his efforts, Bono quotes a speech that Obama gave at the United Nations. In regards to Obama receiving the prize, the President himself believes that receiving such an award was “a call to action.” Bono agrees with this and believes that “in a fight against extreme poverty, its action, not intentions, that counts.” Bono believes that Obama “could well be a force for peace and prosperity.” Bono believes that not just Obama, but also America has a big role in the actions of other countries. “Because the world sees that America might just hold the keys to solving the three greatest threats we face on this planet: extreme poverty, extreme ideology and extreme climate change.” Bono sees hope in Obama being the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize has given Obama that boost to take action against three problems that the world is facing and he sees America as the leader to rid of such problems because according to Bono, “the world wants to believe in America again because the world needs to believe in America gain. We need your ideas—your ideas—at a time when the rest of the world is running out of them.”

  26. The speaker of "Rebranding America," is the lead singer of the music group U2, Bono. The subject of his article is on how President Obama is doing as a president as well as his Noble Peace Prize award. He believes that America needs to be a leader again because of many countries running out of new ideas. Therefore America needed a fresh new president that would once again put America as a world leader .Bono says, “The world wants to believe in America again because the world needs to believe in America again. We need your ideas — your idea — at a time when the rest of the world is running out of them.” This conveys that America did in fact suffer some great loses as a world leader but now that we have a more “intelligent” president we just might be able to be a leader. Obama wants to impose a task that would bring all the nations together instead of dividing it. “We will support the Millennium Development Goals, and approach next year’s summit with a global plan to make them a reality. And we will set our sights on the eradication of extreme poverty in our time” Obama said at the United Nations last month. This means that to end poverty the world’s nations must unite and combat it as a whole. Bono believes that there will be a new brighter future for America opening new doors to many of its people as well as countries that look up to America for guidance.

In the article, "Rebranding America" A famous singer speaks of how Obama is a good president and how he is trying to do his best to complete his promises he state that he is a fighter and he “believe Mr. Obama could well be a force for peace and prosperity — if the words signal action.” Meaning that he will make peace no matter what happen. I believe that Obama is trying his best to end this madness between Afghanistan and the U.S.A, but sometime there is some people that don’t want to cooperate so that is were they have to use force. Many years back many people needed help, but to Bono prospective Barack Obama is his hero. He said that “Barack Obama wasn’t there in 2000, but he’s there now.” to many people he will continue to help out as best he can for health care, to bring troops home, equality and many more. His work has just began so sit back and let the man do his work.

  28. The speaker of this article is Bono and the subject of his article is Rebranding America, or making it new. In his article he is basically stating that yes President Obama did recieve The Noble prize a little bit to early but it signafied a calling. A calling to make America the new state of the Art Country where everyone's voice is heard and played out through various projects. For example this is shown whe he says, "“We will support the Millennium Development Goals, and approach next year’s summit with a global plan to make them a reality. And we will set our sights on the eradication of extreme poverty in our time.”

They’re not my words, they’re your president’s. If they’re not familiar, it’s because they didn’t make many headlines. But for me, these 36 words are why I believe Mr. Obama could well be a force for peace and prosperity — if the words signal action." When he highlighted that quote it had a big impact on me because why woundlt important projects or missions liek these be in the news or know by several people? Many people today said it was too early for him to get this prize, but what Bono opened my eyes to is what he had already planned. Although it hasnt been put into motion, those plan are under way and ready to set miles for America. He also highlights America being Stable once President Obama completes his goals for America. For example it says, "
The military man also offered me an equation. Stability = security + development.

In an asymmetrical war, he said, the emphasis had to be on making American foreign policy conform to that formula.

    Enter Barack Obama.

If that last line still seems like a joke to you ... it may not for long.

Mr. Obama has put together a team of people who believe in this equation. That includes the general himself, now at the National Security Council; the vice president, a former chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee; the Republican defense secretary; and a secretary of state." This highlights how stability is shown to be developed over time and who is supporting this mission and how their primary functions will contribute to the development of this plan. Many people like me were unaware of this Mission and that is why now do believe that Obama indeed did deserve that prize.

People choose him to be out leader so why they can’t follow him as a leader like they choose him. Is true this author doesn’t speak for the whole world but the words that the president has to say to us are going to influence us. The author consider and is sure that Obama is doing his best on trying to make the citizen life better and try to make the people believe in there America dream. Other example is where it says, “Many have spoken about the need for a rebranding of America. Rebrand, restart, reboot.” A lot of people are saying to start a new beginning but everything takes time and the president it trying his best but first I believe that congress have to agree in anything that Obama is trying to do. Before he try’s to do it he needs to be approve but that is not his problem is congress that needs to approve it.

  30. The subject of this article is based on whether or Obama deserves his recognition. The speaker on this Article is Bono, the famous and lead singer on U2. Bono supports the idea that Obama deserves the Honor because of his great outstanding job he has done so far. Bono recalls on some of the words say by the president in which his future goal is to end world hunger. We all know that to end world hunger is not going to be possible. Obama on the other hand is doing all he can in order to help out countries in state of need. Bono recognises Obama as his hero, and most importantly out of anyone he is the one that deserves that prize. I agree with Bono Obama is a great man and those criticism about him make no sense at all, people need to understand that at this moment we are at war, and at the same time we struggle because there are people outthere who really are in state of need. For example Haiti is one of those countries, people starved to death everyday, Obama ideal is to provide countries like that with utilities which can help them better off. Bono believes that Obama when he came to power was going to be the man of action, Obama is the one who is going to make sure this world come to an understanding. As I say before i belive Obama will change this economy, we just have to have faith, we have to have audacity. We just have to let the man do what he has to do. Critics need to avoid as much criticism as possible because if they too want to get out of this crisis in which we are living right now then they need to avoid as many criticism toward Barack as much as possible. We no longer live among the Bush era, we are now living in the audacity of hope.

  33. In the article "Reshaping America" the speacker of the aritcle is Bono, who is a singer in the band U2. The subject that he speaks about is the America opinion of our president Barack Obama, saying that the American people are being sellfish in their way of thinking Obama is not doing anything for them. He says that people of the United States have grown to think that a their imagened Obama is a completely different person from the real one. Bono believes that the virtual Obama is the real Obama because of the quote "We will support the Millennium Development Goals, and approach next year’s summit with a global plan to make them a reality. And we will set our sights on the eradication of extreme poverty in our time.” He believes this words because they are words that want to make people believe that although the change he promised won't come fast but with time it will come. Also another statement that he makes is that "The president said that he considered the peace prize a call to action. And in the fight against extreme poverty, it’s action, not intentions, that counts." I believe these words because most people claims that he does nothing but, seeing Obama get the Nobel Peace Prize should make people realize that he is doing the very thing that he promised to do even if some people don't agree. I agree with Bono saying that the "virtual" and :real" are the same because what people think about a person in their heads and in reality differ but can still have an outcome.

  34. I believe that the speaker of this article is Bono singer of a band called U2. The subject of this article is making our country better or new. Bono is also mentioning his thoughts about president Obama receiving the noble Prize and he states that his award for Obama is making callous, even though he is not the first president to recieve the noble prize, But many believe that is to early for him to reacieve such prize.

  35. the speaker of this op ed is BONO. the audiunce is the people who read the article, poletician, presidant Obama, student, proffecers and governen. throughout this artice the argument is made that bono try to inspired or persuade the people of the USA and the world why Presidant obama deserved the world noble peace prize. also the authour think he desereve the noble prize because obama said “We will support the Millennium Development Goals, and approach next year’s summit with a global plan to make them a reality. And we will set our sights on the eradication of extreme poverty in our time.” so it shows that he wannt see the change that people made instaid saying having a mellion goal its good if people being succesful with one goal that they try to achive. additionally "The president said that he considered the peace prize a call to action. And in the fight against extreme poverty, it’s action, not intentions, that counts." its help the people whats the presidant plan and how to change this world nd fight gainst poverty. once again he deserve the Noble Peace Prize it because he is not fight against poverty and peace only for USA he wanna change that all over the world so the arthour pupose writihing this op ed was to convice the people who think he dont deseved this prize. also in my opinon he addressed he postion and the countre argument throughout his paper he shows different evidence from from Obama speech and people opinons.

  36. The subject of this editorial is President Barack Obama. The speaker is Bano. The purpose of this editorial is to defence Obama that he deserved the Noble Peace Prize for his effort put into reform. Bano are trying to convience folks that they didn't see any change is because "The president has set himself, and the rest of us, no small task." Obama is not only try to change the America, but also the whole world, and that's a big task. In addition, as president Obama stated, that "he considered the peace prize a call to action.
" I also believe the Prize is an inspiration to Obama to make change.

  37. Anyone can have make an argument, if you have the authority. Authority- to know what your really talking about and making your point come across. This lead singer of a rock band, Bono, has given the audience, the people enough evidence and has motivated others to believe why Obama is a great leader, and a partner of a team. He is not even an American, and he is familiar with the issues going on in the world. He believes that the Unites States will be able to change a few things around.
The president said that he considered the peace prize "a call to action." Bono states alot of good things that the president has done. I believe that this prize should had been given to president once he had done some action. I also believe that he was given this Nobel Peace Prize due to his inspiring and motivational words that he says in his speeches. Such as when Bono says, "and in the fight against extreme poverty, it’s action, not intentions, that counts." This ties in with my argument that he the president shouldn't had received the prize just now, but since his choice of word or diction is very strong, he gives them incentive.

  38. In the article "Rebranding America" obviously the speaker is Bono and his point that he is trying to make out is that Obama "might deserve the hype." It was interesting to see a European such as Bono comment on the events occuring in the US. According to this article it seems that he's a fan of president Obama. One of the reasons why I say Bono is a fan of Obama is when he says, "What the president promised was a 'global plan,' not an American plan." This means Obama's goal is not to just make the US better, but the world as well. I think one of Bono's strongest quote was, "The world wants to believe in America again because the world needs to believe in America again." It was a powerful message to all of America that their is still hope for change.

  39. The speaker of this article Bono, whwere he belive that many people had argue about the wining og the peace prize by the Precident Obamo. Obama had been taking care of this country and the population. when the author said "Europe and the world haven't a clud about the real Precident Obama" this look no body know that Obama is doing a great job that he think to do what he promise to his country and the world

  40. I Belive that Bono has nice point of view about president Obama's approach in dealing with the American issues, because the American dream is that everybody have equal opportunity in the country to live their own dream, and Obama is trying his best to help solve our problems.Even Bono belive that Obama is doing good job, but there are something need to focuse on the a situation in Africa. for example Bono said that "he also agreed that many people didnt see that the Horn of Africa-the troubled region that encompasses Somalia and Ethiopia." It is true because America should help to get a peace for those country's problems.

  41. According to this article by famous U2 lead singer Bono his argument was about how President Obama was nominated for reciving the nobel peace prize. some peolpe believe that he did not deserve it because they feel he didnt do much to deserve it.Bono believe that obama is doing a thus far beause he doing what he promise for example"What the president promised was a “global plan,” not an American plan. The same is true on all the other issues that the Nobel committee cited, from nuclear disarmament to climate change — none of these things will yield to unilateral approaches. They’ll take international cooperation and American leadership" also Obama is doing agreat job for this country

  42. Bono is a singer in the Golden Globe award group named U2. in his article posted on the New York Times. He express his beliefs that President Obama is going to help change this country into a better place. but needs our support and congress support in order to complete this task. for example he says, "Many have spoken about the need for a rebranding of America. Rebrand, restart, reboot. In my view these 36 words, alongside the administration’s approach to fighting.."this supports that he is believes that we are going to change american.

  43. A member of the famous rock band U2, Bono has expressed that Obama righteously deserves to be recognized. He goes towards talking about how Obama will help America change and that "Many have spoken about the need for a rebranding of America." Words coming from someone that is not from the U.S. shows more meaning then one who is. Bono has strong views over the impact Obama will make. I stand for one who complys with Bonos views. Obama will make the change that everyone wish to see.

  44. The subject of this article is "Re branching America" and the speaker is a famous singer name Bono. This article was published by the New York Times in which Bono argue why President Obama deserved the Peace Prize award. As he say "These 36 words administration's approach to fighting nuclear proliferation and climate change, improving relations in the middle East and, crating jobs and providing health care at home, are re branching in action". This quote use by Bono reveals that President Obama is not like other president in the past that just promised and do nothing about, because as you may know president Obama is working hard to get people free health care. This quote also is relate to the American Dream because as now President Obama is working in health care reform he would work hard toward proving people more jods in order to end poverty in the future.

  45. The subject of this artical is to state the effects and reasons of Obama winning the noble prize. Bono, the author of "Rebranding America" belives that Obama's peace prize in a symbol of the world believing "in America again." He thinks that the world is counting on the US to stop povertiy, fix the economy, and do something about global warming. No persure right? for example he states, "The Nobel Peace Prize is the rest of the world saying, “Don’t blow it." it is ovious that Bona has personified the world nations as a bunch od dependent loser. He wrote this artical to clearfly the what the significans of the Noble Peace prize means in the hands of our current president.

  46. Obviosly, the author of this article, Bono is supporting president Obama. He is giving Obama a favor for those impatient people who can't wait untill Obama do what he said he would do. From my opinion Obama diserved the peace noble prize. I said this becuase he is trying his best to balance the equation between his side and the enemy. For instance, hwat i am trying to say is, Obama closed down one of the biggest prison in the Guantanamo Bay which is found in Cuba. Basically, the US puts all the terrorist suspects and prisoners over there. What happenes over there is extremly crucial. The prisoners are beat down brutally and inhumanely. Even though they deserve it, since we are humans its kind of hard to see people going under that kind of situation. Which is why our great president planned to close down the prison and avoid all that brutality. First of all one of the reason terrosists attack our country and other places is becuase they are seeing what is happening to their brothers or their family members or friends. Seeing that will motivate them to avenge on other innocent poeple. Thus, president Obama closed the prison to settel down this peace with them. And that is kind of a big deal. On the other hand, the author made it clear for us that Obama getting this peace nobel prize made America one of the most respected country in the wolrd. this will lead to otehr ocuntries to look up to this coutry and follow our sample. So i definitely agree on Obama getting this big prize.

  47. I think that president Obama should not receive this prize because he hasn’t done many things yet to achieve this goal. I think that Bono should just keep his words to him self because he thinks that Obama has done many things just because he gotten to were he is now and the few things he has done. Obama has really not done anything for this country and has yet to accomplish the goals set for this country. Many people would agree with me that Obama should not receive the prize because he hasn’t solved the economic problem in the US, and the recession hasn’t been solved. I think that if he would solve the problem in Iraq then I think it is a different story that would change my opinion. I think that he should solve the war and dilemma. So I think that Obama should not receive the noble piece prize.

Some think that he didn't deserve it, others felt that he deserved it for his efforts.I agree with what Bono said, because he know and believe that president deserved that award because he is doing what he said that he would have don't, even if it's not completed yet, it's in Process. I disagree whit Jorge Guardadon because he said "he hasn’t solved the economic problem in the US, and the recession hasn’t been solved", solving the economic problem is not something that can be done in just a few months, thats take years and years. I think that people should be more patient and let president Obama do his job...THANK YOU
